Pop music or popular music is the name for streams music heard by a wider audience and mostly commercial.
Pop music was first developed in the United States in 1920 where the recording was first made by Thomas Edison's invention.
Popular music refers to any of a number of musical genres "having wide appeal" and is typically distributed to large audiences through the music industry. This is in contrast to both art music and traditional music, which are typically disseminated academically or orally smaller, local audiences. Although popular music sometimes known as "pop music", the two terms are not interchangeable. Popular music is a generic term for music of all ages that appeals to popular tastes, whereas pop music usually refers to a specific musical genre.

Ragtime music in the United States since 1890
Ragtime music or chopped-Pig, is American music influenced by ethnic African-American and European classical music. This music became famous in the mainland United States around 1890 to 1920. This music has a faster tempo or rhythm syncopation with dominance, but some are a bit slow paced.
Usually music is played specifically with piano-style chopped pork, and the pianist and creators such as Scott Joplin (1868-1917), James Scott (1885-1938), and Joseph Lamb (1887-1959).
Blues music in the United States since 1895
Blues music was born out of ethnic African-Americans in the Mississippi Delta peninsula at the end of the nineteenth century around 1895 and continues today. Music is born out of the lives of the slaves who worked as a laborer in the African American race, at which time they work or rest their steady afternoon sad songs (blues) melodies typical African race, and of course with the lyrics slaves oppressed at that time. At first the only blues song sung without instrumental accompaniment, and then use the new meraka stringed guitar as an accompaniment instrument.
Later this blues music influenced the development of jazz, country, and rock. Note that the rhythm and blues music is very strong melodies with African race. After World War I ended (1918), the new music was born on the American continent called the Popular Music. Music is primarily a dance floor music at that time became very popular and loved by people all over the world.

Country music is often equated with cowboy music (cattle herders). Music is born in country recording violin with John Carson recorded "Little Log Cabin in the Lane" by Okeh Records in 1923.
